His inspiration came from Dieter Rams and Robert Bosch and their enthusiasm for good design. He believes in less is more and that the number of square meter is not the only indicator of a good home.

Simon Becker and Andreas Rauch are the Designers and Architects of the Cabin One Minimal House as a modular, high-quality serial product to create the future of living. The minimalist cabin combines highest living quality, nice views and comfort on a small floor plan. The revolutionary minimal house breaks with the conventions of the building industry, which only knows one key figure: square meters

Chris Precht is a young architect from Austria and founder of Penda and Studio Precht.

Together with his wife Fei, his team and 2 cats, he is working from a remote place in the mountains of Salzburg.

From there, they are working on projects worldwide, which range from ecological High-rises to Bamboo-buildings.

Chris Precht is an advocate for a new generation of architects that finds meaning in their work and that is a leading voice to design an ecological future.

In our interview Chris Precht shares his thoughts on the shortcomings and opportunities of architecture to help humans connect with nature and combat climate change, insular thinking and consumerism by engaging with the real world.

In the age of Instagram, Precht values authenticity, collaboration and empathy as guiding principles to create good buildings and inspire others to do the same.

The Archilogic founders studied together at the ETH in Zurich and started AERO architects after graduating from uni. In 2014 they founded archilogic.com and combind their knowledge in architecture with technology to bring the physical and the virtual world together. They recently closed a $1.5 million round from angle investors in order to grow and scale their business.

Archilogic combines deep knowledge of architecture, design, 3D workflows, computer vision and coding to create visually stunning and powerful 3D interiors in the web – for everyone, anywhere, anytime. Go to places that no longer exist, that don’t exist yet and everything else in between.

Qi Su is an architect who has worked for the architectural offices amphibianArc, MADAs.p.a.m. and Michael Sorkin Studio.

He graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Design and is the only master’s student in school history who has won both the Peter Rice Prize for structural design invention and the Digital Design Prize for the innovative creation of digital tools.

Tian and Qi developed a browser-based 3D design collaboration tool, which makes it easy to share and comment on digital 3D models. From his work in various architectural offices, Qi’s experience was that sharing a 3D model with a client for giving feedback could be difficult. The process was hardly optimized, involving converting the 3D model into a flat image, printing it out for the client, marking on the print, and then scanning it and updating the 3D model.

That pain point is what eventually led to Modelo, which Qi Su founded together with industrial designer Tian Deng in 2014. Their product is now in its beta development stage and the full commercial release is coming soon. The startup has raised more than $1 million in funding and has 12 employees.

Company description:

Modelo was founded to help professionals who work with CAD software, including Revit, Rhino, and SketchUp, more intuitively collaborate with team members to perfect their designs and interactively present them.

Our name, Modelo, comes from combining the word ‘model’ because we work seamlessly with all CAD models and the letter ‘o’ because we believe great design is a continuous process of composition, collecting feedback, and refinement. Our name underpins our mission to support that ongoing process by being a comprehensive centralized communication, collaboration, and presentation platform for CAD users.

Gunita Kuļikovska is strategic designer with a background in architecture and urbanism. She is one of Forbes’ “30 under 30” young talents and a TEDxRiga 2016 speaker.

Together with her team, Gunita Kuļikovska is developing VIVIDLY; an innovative VR software and one of the first solutions in the world to be able to harness the power of virtual technology and offer a stepping stone for progress in the architecture, urban planning and construction industry. VIVIDLY will also be a finalist in the Creative Business Cup, due to take place in Copenhagen in November.

For the third Tallinn Architecture Biennale in 2015, Gunita initiated the project and exhibition World without Architect? with a team of young architects and tech professionals. In the exhibition, visitors could virtually build a simple house, place it in a neighborhood, customize the properties of the building and finally print their designs from a 3D printer.

Strongly believing in the revolutionary power of VR technologies for the AEC industry, Gunita founded Go VR Studio, a company developing professional applications of virtual reality in architecture and engineering to help in decision-making, cost saving measures and creating spectacular architectural experiences. And, just as an example what the app is capable of, you can check out the Great Amber Concert Hall in Liepaja, Latvia, available in VR since today!

VIVIDLY is based on the know-how of the archi-tech (architecture&technology) lab Go VR Studio, which experiments with new technology applications in the architecture & construction industry.
