The digital change in the construction industry: Selected startups and companies from the industry present their products and business ideas as well as current trends and solutions on 140 square metres. The spectrum of digital ideas, services and products on show ranges from construction sites and construction site logistics to building planning, building maintenance, renovation/modernisation and building material recycling.

Digitalisation in the construction industry is progressing and this is accompanied by new impulses, new ideas and approaches with regard to the planning, construction and renovation of buildings. In particular, the “Smart Home” theme has ensured that our exhibitors’ products are becoming more digital and that networking among them is increasing. From air-conditioning, heating and shading to access systems, everything is interconnected and exchanges information.

But not only existing companies in the construction industry are adapting to digital change, new start-ups are emerging and developing innovative ideas that are changing the industry. This results in exciting new concepts.

In the Digital Village, BAU offers the opportunity to present these ideas and establish contacts with top decision-makers, potential supporters, investors and future customers.

The number of young entrepreneurs in the architecture and real estate industry is very low and there is still too little visibility for startups in this field. In order to change this, ap35 – the agency for architecture marketing – in cooperation with Peter Förster, announces the opening of the STARTUPCORNER at ORGATEC 2018. In addition to representatives of established companies, for the first time startups from the architecture and construction industry will also have their own exhibition area.

A total of 15-20 startups will be selected to present their innovations to the numerous visitors and interested parties at the leading trade fair for modern working environments. The target group are new companies from the fields of architecture, construction and technology, engineering, building management, IT & services and working environments.

In addition to the exhibition space, the STARTUPCORNER incorporates a stage where interesting programs will be offered from October 23rd to 25th. This is ensured by young founders in the form of daily pitches as well as experts and representatives of established companies, who share their opinion, experience and knowledge on current topics in architecture.

At the conclusion of the event all startups will be nominated for the STARTUP AWARD Architecture & Building. This award recognizes pioneering technologies and services that help the construction industry achieve worldwide success.
